Steven G. Dean
Position: Chairman and Director

Mr. Dean is also Chairman and Director of Amerigo Resources Ltd. (ARG:TSX) ("Amerigo"), Spur Ventures Inc. (SVU:TSX) and Vannessa Ventures Ltd, (VVV:TSXV) and is a director of GRD Ltd. (GRD:ASX) Mr. Dean has extensive experience in mine finance, development and management. He was a founding member of management of the Normandy Mining Ltd. Group in Australia from 1987 to1994, and was founding Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PacMin Mining Corporation from 1995 to1999. Following that, Steven was President of Teck Cominco Limited until July 2002. Steven is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia, a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum.

 
Joanne C. Freeze, P.Geo
Position: President, CEO, Director

Joanne (Joey) C. Freeze is President, CEO and co-founder of Candente Resource Corp. Since entering the mineral exploration business in 1979, Ms. Freeze has managed exploration programs and evaluated projects for both junior and major international mining companies such as Queenstake Resources Ltd., Arequipa Resources Ltd., Mountain Province Mining Inc., Placer Dome Inc., Dia Met Minerals Corp., Hughes/ Lang Group and Utah Mines Ltd. (BHP).

Ms. Freeze lived and worked in Peru from 1994 to 1997 where she carried out both project generation work and property evaluations for Canadian and Peruvian companies. As a result of her experience in Peru, a partnership was formed with Fredy Huanqui, and a new mineral exploration company was born. Candente Resource Corp. was established in 1997, which operated privately until going public on May 15, 2000.

Ms. Freeze obtained a B.A. in Geography from the University of Western Ontario in 1978 and a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of British Columbia in 1981. She is a Fellow Member of the Geological Association of Canada and is registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, Canada.

 
Dr. Klaus Zeitler
Position: Director

Since receiving his Ph.D. in economic planning at Karlsruhe University in 1966, Dr. Zeitler has financed, built and managed both base metal and gold mines worldwide (Europe, Africa, North America, South America, Pacific) with a total investment value of $4 billion. He led Inmet Mining, as President and CEO, in its successful bid for the Antamina project in Peru in 1996 and later represented, as a senior Vice President, Teck Cominco Ltd. on the board of the joint venture committee which financed and developed Antamina (2000), now one of the world's largest copper and zinc mines. He was also a director of Cominco when it was developing the Quebrada Blanca mine in Chile, as well as owning and operating the Cajamarquilla zinc smelter in Peru. Dr. Zeitler is the President of Amerigo Resources Ltd.

 
Michael Casselman, M.SC., P.Geo
Position: Director

Mr. Casselman joined Candente in February 2004 and brings over 35 years of Canadian and international mineral industry experience to the management team. Mr. Casselman is responsible for leading the exploration teams in both Peru and Mexico, and brings managerial, technical, logistical, operational, environmental and community relations expertise to the Company. Mr. Casselman has extensive experience in exploring and developing deposits and has specific expertise in porphyry copper, volcanic massive sulphide and Sedex deposits, diamonds and high-sulphidation and iron formation gold deposits.

Mr. Casselmans 30-year tenure with Cominco Ltd. began in 1969, where he was directly involved with the Highland Valley Copper Mine in British Columbia -- from feasibility to production. He also supervised exploration at the mine and in the surrounding district in the 1980's. In the mid-1990's, Mr. Casselman relocated to Santiago, Chile and led extensive copper exploration programs in his capacity as Manager, Exploration. He became Administration Manager, International Exploration upon his return to Vancouver, and retired from Cominco in 1999 as Exploration Manager. Mr. Casselman has many career highlights including finding and exploring several volcanogenic zinc, copper, lead, gold, silver massive sulphide deposits at Hackett River, NWT and Tulsequah Chief, BC, Canada. He also led the team which expanded the reserve at the Pebble Copper porphyry (Cu,Au, Mo deposit) in Alaska from 350 million tonnes, to one billion tonnes.

Mr. Casselman received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia in 1969, and his Masters of Science from Carleton University, in Ottawa, Ontario in 1977.

 
Larry Kornze, P.Eng
Position: Director Business Development

Mr. Kornze recently retired from Barrick Gold Corporation as General Manager of Exploration for Mexico and Central America, and International Evaluations. Prior to working internationally, Mr. Kornze was the US Exploration Manager for Barrick Gold Exploration Inc. and was responsible for the Goldstrike Mine exploration with discoveries at Betze, Meikle, Deepstar, Screamer and Rodeo. Prior to joining Barrick in 1985, Mr. Kornze held various positions with Newmont and Getty Mining Co. in North America.

Mr. Kornze's brings an exceptional 34-year career in international gold exploration and discovery experience to the Company

 
Andrew Lee Smith, P.Geo.
Position: Director

Mr. Smith, P.Geo., is an economic geologist with more than 20 years of experience successfully exploring, developing and operating gold, silver copper, lead, zinc and gemstone mining projects. Between 1985 and 1998, Smith supervised the development of two very successful gold underground mining operations, Sleeping Giant and Beaufor Gold Projects for Aurizon Mines Ltd. In 1994 Mr. Smith was the co-recipient of the "Mining Entrepreneur of the Year Award" presented by the Quebec Prospector's Association for his work overseeing the exploration and development of these two mines. Since 1998, Mr. Smith has focused his activities on economic evaluation of advanced exploration and development projects for junior exploration and mining companies. Mr. Smith is the co-founder and currently the Chairman of True North Gems Inc., and is the President and CEO of Canaco Resources Inc., an emerging junior gold exploration company with project interests in Alaska and Tanzania.

 
Ing. Fredy J. Huanqui G.
Position: Director

Ing. Huanqui is a Peruvian geologist and co-founder of Candente Resource Corp. and has been instrumental in the discovery of two gold deposits in Peru. Pierina (named after Fredy's daughter), is currently in production by Barrick Gold Corp., containing in excess of 7.5 million ounces of gold; and the Quicay gold deposit which hosts similar style mineralization to the Pierina and Yanacocha (35M oz) deposits.

Prior to working for Arequipa Resources Ltd. in 1993, Ing. Huanqui managed exploration projects and evaluated prospects in nearly all sectors of Peru for Centromin. Ing. Huanqui has been in the exploration business since 1974, focusing primarily on disseminated gold deposits, however, he is familiar with exploration for most types of mineral deposits. His local Peruvian personal and business experiences are invaluable to the company.

 
Dr. Peter Megaw, C.P.G.
Position: Director

Dr. Peter Megaw, a Certified Professional Geologist by the American Institute of Professional Geologists and Arizona Registered Geologists, is a well-known mining industry professional, and is one of four founding principals of IMDEX Inc./Minera Cascabel, S.A. de C.V., the largest geotechnical consulting firm operating in Mexico. Dr. Megaw has been instrumental in the discovery of several million ounces of silver including new orebodies in existing mines, Excellon Resources' Platosa Mine, and MAG Silver's Fresnillo, Batopilas and Santa Eulalia Properties. Peter is the author of numerous scientific publications on ore deposits, and is a frequent speaker at international exploration conferences.

 
James A. Currie, P.Eng
Position: Director

Mr. Currie brings to the Candente team almost 30 years of experience in the mining industry, much of it in the copper sector. He has been involved in the development and operation of projects in North America, Asia and Africa and has experience in both SX/EW and conventional flotation copper operations.
